May 17th sees the release of "We Made This: Volume 1", a limited edition, low-price compilation which features exclusive tracks from the contributors to the brownswood.co.uk messageboard and FYE clubnights. It covers all the bases from off-kilter hip hop and beatdown house through to Detroit-style techno and nu-jazz, and comes in a beautifully designed gatefold sleeve. Some of the contributors you'll no doubt recognise - Red Rack'em, Mr Beatnick and Scrimshire have already built strong underground followings - while others such as Deep Space Orchestra and Bergs look set to make waves with further releases in 2010. Also look out for some cheeky cameos from Guynamite and Architeq. Put everything together and you have fifteen of the best underground tracks to surface this year.
